The spreadsheets we actually use, yours to take.
These are the working files behind a monthly close, a cash forecast and a hiring decision. Download them and use them. There is no form, no email address to hand over and nothing to sign up for.
What an accountant on your payroll really costs.
Owners compare our fee against a salary. That is not the comparison. Put your own numbers in and see the one that is.
True cost per month
৳ 0
Over a year
৳ 0
Enter a monthly salary to see the loaded cost.
Every line here is a box you fill in, not a rule we are asserting. Festival bonuses are customary or contractual rather than a single fixed statutory figure, and provident fund only applies where a scheme exists. Use your own contracts. Leave a box at zero if it does not apply to you.
And the number still leaves out the parts that have no invoice: nobody checking the work, no cover when they are ill, and everything they learned walking out with them when they resign.
Fifteen spreadsheets, grouped by the problem they solve.
Excel files, no currency hard coded into them, so they work in taka without editing. Direct download.
Run the month
The recurring work. If these four are in place a month closes in days rather than weeks.
Monthly close checklist
Every task that has to happen between the last day of the month and a set of numbers you can trust, with who does it and by which business day.
Download .xlsxChart of accounts
A starter chart of accounts for a growing company. Most books that need cleaning up were coded into a list nobody designed.
Download .xlsxReceivables and payables aging
Who owes you, how long it has been, and what you owe. The single most useful sheet in a business waiting on payment.
Download .xlsxBudget against actuals
What you planned, what happened, and the gap named line by line so the conversation is about causes rather than surprises.
Download .xlsxKnow where the cash is
Profit and cash are different questions. These answer the second one.
Cash flow forecast
Money in and money out, week by week, so you see a shortfall while there is still time to do something about it.
Download .xlsxRunway calculator
How long the money lasts at the current burn, and what changes if you cut or raise.
Download .xlsxRevenue recognition schedule
For advances, retainers and anything billed before it is delivered. Cash received is not revenue earned.
Download .xlsxPlan and hire
Before you commit to a cost you cannot easily reverse.
Hiring plan
Roles, start dates and loaded cost on one sheet, so a hiring plan is a cash plan rather than a wish list.
Download .xlsxFinancial model
Drivers, revenue build, costs and headcount, with the assumptions in one place where they can be argued with.
Download .xlsxShow it to someone outside
Investors, a board, a lender or a partner. What they ask for, in the shape they expect it.
Investor and board update
Numbers, commentary and asks, in the format people who read a lot of these are used to.
Download .xlsxCap table and dilution
Who owns what now, and what a round does to that. Worth having before the conversation, not during it.
Download .xlsxRecurring revenue metrics
Retention, churn, expansion and the rest, for a subscription or contract based business.
Download .xlsxFix how the work is done
The operational side. Useful when the numbers are late because the process is, not the accounting.
Standard operating procedure
One process written down properly, so it survives the person who has been doing it from memory.
Download .xlsxProcess audit worksheet
Walk a process end to end and mark where it stalls, who touches it and what is done twice.
Download .xlsxSoftware spend audit
Every subscription, what it costs a year, who uses it and whether anything else already does the job.
Download .xlsxThe Bangladesh specific calculators, and why we have not published them.
A VAT calculator, a TDS deduction table, a gratuity calculator and a provident fund calculator are the obvious things to build for this market, and people search for all four.
They are also the four where being out of date is worse than being absent. Each one depends on a current rate or a current rule, and a number published here and left alone becomes wrong quietly, without anyone noticing, while people go on using it. We would rather not put our name on a figure we are not maintaining.
If you need one of these for a real decision, write to us and we will check the current position and tell you, or point you to the licensed firm that should be answering it.
Or let us look at the real thing.
Fifteen minutes and a look at your books, no charge. We say honestly whether we can help, and what it would cost.
