Questions

Frequently asked questions

Are you a chartered accountancy firm?

No. Statutory audit and assurance are ICAB licensed work and we do not do them. We also do not file your VAT or income tax returns with the NBR, make your RJSC filings, or give legal opinions. We refer that work to an ICAB registered firm and hand over accounts that are ready for it. Our internal reviews are not audits and we do not call them audits.

Where are you based?

The firm is run from the United States with a team in Dhaka. The work on your accounts is done in Bangladesh; the process and the review standard come from the USA practice.

What does it cost?

Pick your situation in the estimator on the pricing page; it recommends the services, you adjust if you like, and it prices each piece and totals it, based on exactly what you picked. Whatever the review lands on is agreed in writing before any work starts, and it does not move afterwards.

How long am I committed for?

Month to month. Leave at the end of any month, and your accounts, documents and software access come back to you in usable form.

Our accounts are badly behind. Is that a problem?

It is the most common reason people call. Catch-up work is quoted separately, before it starts, based on how far back it goes.

Can you work with our existing accountant?

Often that is the right answer. Sometimes we take the monthly work and they keep the statutory side. Sometimes we only do the cleanup and hand it back.

Do you file our VAT return?

No. We keep the records it is built from, so that filing is a short job rather than a reconstruction. Since 1 July 2026 returns go in online only, which means your accounts have to be current by the middle of the month rather than reconstructed later. Whoever files for you works from what we produce.

Who actually checks the work?

Whoever prepares your month is not the person who signs it off. A second person reviews before anything reaches you. That is ordinary inside a finance team and it is the thing one hire structurally cannot give you, however good they are.

Do you work with foreign-owned companies?

Yes, and that work is scoped and quoted separately rather than priced straight off the page. A pack your group can consolidate, records that reconcile to systems your head office runs abroad, and provident fund and gratuity treated for group accounting are all real extra work.
