Your entries, current. Your month, closed.
Bookkeeping is only useful if it is finished. Entries kept current, every account reconciled, and the month shut on a date you can plan around rather than whenever someone gets to it.
Who this is for
- You have transactions going through more than one bank, bKash or Nagad account.
- Your accountant is doing this alongside three other jobs.
- You want the month closed by a date, not "soon".
How it runs
- We take the bank, card and wallet statements, and whatever documents exist.
- Entries go in and every account is reconciled.
- The month is closed and the pack goes out on the date agreed with you.
- Anything we could not match comes to you as a short list of questions, not a silence.
What is included.
- Monthly bookkeeping and transaction entries
- Chart of Accounts setup and cleanup
- Payable and receivable tracking
- Bank, card and mobile-wallet reconciliation
- Expense categorization and documents
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Catch-up work for delayed accounts
- Ledger and record management
- Sales and purchase records kept so your VAT return is a filing job, not a reconstruction
- TDS deducted and scheduled month by month, ready for whoever files it
Already have someone who does it all? Keep them.
The daily entries, the admin and the running around stay with your person. We close the month on a fixed date, check their work and prepare the monthly report. There is a whole page on how the two halves work together.
Work we have done, and what changed.
These are engagements of our United States practice, not Bangladesh clients, and the client names are withheld. They are here because they are the standard your work in Dhaka is done to.
A close that finishes early, every month
The monthly close ran late and inconsistently. Revenue recognition had never been formalised and the team could not produce reliable statements in time for the month-end review.
Built a close checklist, set formal revenue recognition policies, and created a monthly reporting template.
The close now finishes early each month and the statements are review-ready by default.
Before you call.
How current will our accounts actually be?
Entries go in through the month rather than in a rush at the end of it. The month is closed and reconciled by a date agreed with you in the engagement letter, and we set that date so an online VAT deadline is never tight, because you can no longer reconstruct a period the week the return is due.
Do we have to move to your software?
No. We work in what you already run if it is fit for the job. Where it is not, we say so, explain what it is costing you, and set the change up once rather than living with it.
Something in a month we already reported on turns out to be wrong. What happens?
It is corrected in the open period with the reason recorded, not by reopening a closed month and quietly editing it. If a figure you have already shown someone changes, you find out from us and you are told why.
Is this the same as having our VAT return filed?
No. We are not the filer. We keep the records the return is built from, so that filing is a short job rather than a reconstruction. Statutory filing with the NBR goes to a licensed firm.
What is the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?
Bookkeeping is the record: every transaction entered, every account reconciled, the month closed. Accounting is what gets built on that record: statements, tax computations, filings. We keep the record and produce the management reporting that sits on it. The statutory pieces, audit and tax filing, are licensed work and go to a licensed firm.
Which software do you work in?
QuickBooks, Xero and the systems already common here, including whatever you run now if it is fit for the job. The subscription is in your name, not ours, so your accounts never live somewhere you cannot reach.
Can we see the accounts ourselves?
At any time. The software is your subscription with your own login, so the accounts are as visible to you as they are to us. You are never waiting for a copy of your own numbers.
