Growing businesses

You have outgrown one accountant. A finance team is years away.

The gap between those two is where most Bangladeshi businesses lose control of their numbers. Not because anyone is careless, but because one person doing everything has nobody checking, no cover, and no time to look up.

What usually brings you here

  • You know sales are up and you still cannot say whether you made money.
  • The accounts are three months behind and getting further.
  • Your accountant is good, and if they resign you lose everything they knew.
  • A bank or a supplier has asked for statements you do not have.

What you get every month

  • A month that closes on a date rather than eventually
  • Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, with the movements explained in plain words
  • Bank, card and mobile-wallet reconciliation done every month
  • One named person who knows your business and answers

Where we would start.

Start with the part that is hurting. You do not have to take all of it.

What actually breaks at this size.

The failure is rarely that nobody is doing the accounts. It is that one person is doing them, in a way only they understand, and the business has quietly become dependent on that person staying. Good accountants make this worse rather than better, because everything works right up until the week they resign.

The second failure is the month that never closes on a date. It closes eventually, which feels like the same thing until you need a statement for a bank, a supplier or an investor and eventually is not a date you can give them.

What changes first

  • A close that finishes on an agreed date every month, not when the work happens to be done.
  • Bank, card and mobile wallet reconciliation completed monthly, which is where most of the real complexity sits once bKash and Nagad are carrying a meaningful share of your takings.
  • Statements with the movements explained in plain words, so you can answer whether you made money rather than only whether sales grew.
  • The process written down, so the knowledge belongs to the business. Handing over to your own finance hire later is a better outcome than keeping you dependent on us.
Your team, extended

Keep your accounts person. We check the work and prepare the reports.

At this size the person who does it all is at their ceiling: entries continue, but the close slips, reports stay unreadable, and nobody checks anybody. They keep the day to day. We add what the size now demands.

What one fee buys that one hire cannot

  • A bench: a bookkeeper, a reviewer and a CFO-level eye, for a fraction of what a second qualified hire would cost
  • Cover: leave or a resignation does not stop your accounts
  • The patterns from a hundred-plus engagements in our USA practice, not one employer's ledger
  • Software, dashboards and written SOPs, set up and included
  • Scale the service up or down, month to month
  • The person recording is never the only one watching the bank
  • The leaks an unchecked ledger hides, stale receivables, duplicate payments, cash drift, get caught in weeks rather than years

The easiest way to test this is the look at your accounts: thirty minutes, no charge, and we tell you what we find, including the parts you will not enjoy hearing. Request the look ›

Questions

Before you call.

How do we know we have outgrown one accountant?

Usually you already do. Sales are up and you still cannot say whether you made money, or the accounts are three months behind and the gap is widening, or you have realised that if one person resigns you lose everything they knew.

Do we have to let our accountant go?

Often no, and often that is the wrong move. Sometimes we take the monthly work and they keep the statutory side. Sometimes we do the cleanup and hand it back. We will say which we think fits.

What does this cost as we grow?

The fee follows your situation and the services you pick: transaction volume, accounts, and whether you add payroll, cleanup or a CFO layer. The estimator on the pricing page walks you through it, and you see where you land before you call.

Can you help us hire when we are ready to?

Yes. Handing over to your own finance hire is a better outcome than keeping you dependent, and it is much easier when the close is already written down as a process.
